Overview
Successfully launched an MVP in Australia and a Live Market Test in Latin America in a few months.
Explorations
Every step of the screen was carefully iterated based on the country's demographic
I believe one of the most important skills for a Product Designer to think in various pathways. Once you see all the different ways you can solve a problem, you get a holistic view. And eventually, you can also mix and match from different options and make the version which works best.
Outcome
The first step of the flow was user segmentation, followed by the home screen
The flow starts with user segmentation. For a LMT (Live Market Test), understanding the user demographic helps unlock the priorities for feature development.
Onboarding flow and dashboard screen for Australia
The questionnaire about user's basic tax information was followed by a quick estimate. Appropriate help and FAQs were made available all through the process
Different variations were user tested for the refund screens
Design handoff
A deeply specified documentation was needed as I was working part-time with the team and wanted to make sure there were no confusions and bottlenecks when it comes to feature developement
Launch
The Live Market Test succeeded with a higher-than-expected I2R (Installation-to-registration) rate. We built the MVP for Australia using existing codebases from existing international products (Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Germany). But the product had to be internationalized for the targetted Australian userbase.
I worked closely with the UX Research team to gather feedback and insights, from user interviews and usability testing, to make the product work for the user. The MVP for Australia was released in July '23, and will now be used as a foundation to leapfrog development when launching in a new country
